Notre Dame | Le Chéile

Hosted by Mike Golic the night before the Notre Dame Football game in Ireland, August 2023, the Variety Show at Dublin’s 3Arena featured Riverdance performers, Imelda May, Sharon Shannon, Lyra, Tolü Makay, The High Kings, Martin Short, and the Band of the Fighting Irish.

High Res were engaged to deliver the full lighting design and LED video solutions for the event. We collaborated with Padraic Moyles (Riverdance) and a team from Notre Dame University, with custom timecoded video content produced by Potion. Lighting design was led by our in-house designer Mark Galione, with video direction led in-house by Ian Henderson and implemented on site by media server operator Ama Addo.

Pre-production included detailed CAD drawings, a full 3D model of the set, lighting programmed and visualised in Wysiwyg, and content reviewed in disguise. On site, ROE LED systems and disguise media servers powered the show, integrating IMAG feeds, pre-rendered content, and timecoded playback for bespoke performances. The result was a seamless, synchronised live experience that united multiple artists and disciplines in one spectacular night.
