High Res were engaged to design the lighting, cueing system and talking severed heads effect for this actor lead visitor attraction, where the audience move between performance scenes depicting Dublin’s macabre history. The brief was to design and commission theatrical lighting in six distinct scenes and the foyer space. The lighting, sound and effects were to be triggered by the performers. The core audience were tourists, families and tours.

Along with the lighting design, we specified the fixtures and control system, integrating triggers for sound and effect cues, oversaw the installation and then commissioned and rehearsed the scenes.
We worked closely with the attraction’s creative and technical team, as well as suppliers and contractors to deliver a system suitable for the project; A combination of architectural and theatrical fixtures, projection equipment and video servers were used, that could deliver the design required, be flexible enough for further expansion, and were available on the short lead times.
